Baptism Assistant

For baptisms outside of Mass, a baptismal assistant is scheduled to assist the priest, deacon and families in attendance. This includes welcoming families and giving instruction, as well as preparing the needed supplies. The assistant makes announcements to the group as needed.   After the baptism, the assistant ensures everything is put away, takes the baptism towels home to wash, and then returns them to the parish office.  Commitment is approximately once every other month.
