All adults (18+ Post High School) are encouraged to participate in Lenten Small Groups here at St. Michael Catholic Church. The theme of the small groups will be on the Eucharist, as we connect with the wider National Eucharistic Revival currently happening in the Church. www.eucharisticrevival.org

The Lenten small groups will meet in homes six times during Lent, between Feb. 15 and Mar. 27. All resources and training for small groups will be provided by the parish.

We are also in need of small group facilitators who are willing to open their home for small group meetings. There will be a small group facilitator training event on the morning of Feb. 10 here at St. Michael from 9:00 am to Noon.

Lenten Small Groups: Q & A

• What is the purpose of small groups? Small group ministry provides a safe and encouraging place where fellow Christians can accompany one another in the journey of faith. Small groups can lead to spiritual renewal as believers gather for prayer, learning, and listening.
• How many times will the small groups meet? Six times during Lent of 2024.
• Where will the small groups meet? In the homes of small group facilitators.
• Who is leading the small groups? Each group will have a person who takes on the role of a small group facilitator. This person will communicate with the group regarding meeting times and location, open their home for the small group meetings, and facilitate the small group conversation.
• How are the small groups organized? When a person fills out the online registration form there are questions asked that will help us to create small groups based on peoples preferences.
• Can the small groups continue to meet after Lent? We encourage groups that desire to continue to meet, to do so.
• I'm currently in a small group. Should I continue with my small group or move to the newly organized Lenten small groups? We encourage people to continue with their current small groups. However, the Lenten small groups are open to any adult who is interested, even those currently in another small group. We also encourage existing small groups to use the Eucharistic focused materials that the new Lenten small groups will be using during Lent.
