We have two parish ministries and a major ministry partner, the Society of St. Vincent de Paul, in need of volunteer help. Check them out and pitch in if you can!
LINEN CARE Linen care is simple but extremely important service to our parish. Weekly linen care includes the purifying, washing, ironing, and folding of linens used at Mass. Volunteers must live in a smoke-free home. Training and instruction provided; ideally, each volunteer takes one month every 4 to 5 months. To learn more, email Shelley Vergin or call her at 763-497-2269.
ROSARY LEADERS The Rosary is one of the most powerful weapons for spiritual warfare and one of our greatest aids in the pursuit of a fruitful spiritual life. We have an immediate need for volunteers to lead a rosary in the church, especially at 6:00 PM (before the 6:30 PM Mass) on the third or fourth Tuesday of each month. The time commitment is approximately 20 minutes. Leaders may volunteer for as little as once per month or weekly if desired. To volunteer, email Peggy Steinert or call her at 612-644-4088.
ST. VINCENT DE PAUL Our local conference of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul (SSVdP) helps neighbors in need here in our community—and the demand is great. “Our Faith in Action: Today’s Society of St. Vincent de Paul” will release five episodes as part of a special weeklong event on EWTN. One new episode will air each day from Monday, February 6, through Friday, February 10, at 4:30 PM Central Time. The series follows Vincentians as they volunteer in their communities, helping neighbors in need and sharing stories of Christ’s love. Each episode features Vincentians across the country; the episodes on Tuesday and Friday will include our regional SSVdP council in Minneapolis! Tune in if you can, then consider joining us for training on Saturday, March 25 , 9:30 AM, at St. John the Baptist in New Brighton. For more information, contact Jeanne VanDrasek or Rob VanDrasek.
