Q&A: Is the BOLD FUTURE Project Done and Paid For?

QUESTION: Is the BOLD FUTURE project completed? Is it paid for? 

With the installation of the soundproof doors between the social hall and gymnasium, our BOLD FUTURE expansion project is substantially completed. As you may know, we have space on the lower level beneath the gym that will remain unfinished until we have a clearer plan for our preK-8 school. 

In terms of financial support for the expansion:

• The final cost was just over $12 million, including carpet for the gathering space and church and other enhancements that were not part of the new construction.
• Our current loan balance is $7.9 million, and our three-year pledge period ends in December.
• Our debt is projected to be roughly $6.5 million at the end of the year with the anticipated contributions expected through December and our current capital reserves.

In the coming weeks, we will be asking donors to consider extending or increasing their building fund pledge in order to pay off the remaining debt as quickly as possible. If you were unable to contribute to the original BOLD FUTURE campaign, now’s the time!
