Q&A: Are We Planning a High School?

Do we plan to open a Catholic high school anytime soon?

The online survey we conducted in Spring 2022 showed extensive support for a regional Catholic high school in the northwest metro. In the past year and a half, we have explored a wide range of options with the archdiocese and Holy Spirit Academy (HSA) in Monticello. 

After much discussion and deliberation, we have decided to partner with HSA. Father Brian Park and Melissa (Ginther) Zachman, our school’s Director of Catholic Identity and Mission, have joined the HSA Board of Directors. Together, we are working to grow the school in its current location and develop a plan for a new high school on HSA’s land in Dayton.
 
In the meantime, we are planning a homeschool co-op option for local teens to take HSA classes here at St. Michael Catholic Church beginning in Fall 2024. Stay tuned this fall for an interest survey to be sent to school and parish families.
