Deacon Mike Engel

Deacon Mike Engel was ordained to the permanent diaconate on December 4, 2021, and assigned to his home parish of St. Michael for his final semester of formation. He and his wife Stacy have four children: Kate, Livi, Bethy, and Peter. Kate is married to her husband Brendan Miller and lives in Alaska; the rest of the Engels live near Mike's childhood home on Maple Lake. In addition to serving at the altar, Mike recently launched Reborn Ministry to help men recover from pornography addiction. He and his family have been discerning the call to diaconate for the past 15 years and have already been blessed with many graces since ordination.
